*POSTPONED*: SCOG Hackathon on Spatial Transcriptomics
Date:
March 17-18 Postponed: May/June 2020
Location:
Werk 1, Atelierstr. 29, 81671 Munich
Aim:
Spatial molecular profiling techniques assay gene expression at the level of RNA and proteins in situ, enabling the study of spatially-resolved molecular profiles in tissue. It is a new technology that brings exciting open-problems for computational biology and bioinformatics. In this hackathon, we aim to tackle some of the challenges that arise from the processing and modeling of this data, such as:
– Visualization tools for spatial data
– Data integration of spatial molecular profiles with dissociation-based data (e.g. scRNA-seq)
– Spatial differential expression analysis
– Deconvolution of spatial transcriptomics data
– Improved and efficient image segmentation for spatial data
Targeted participants are:
– Computational biologists and bioinformaticians interested in the analysis of spatial data
– Advanced python / R, git and Github proficiency
Registration is closed.
